Street Sharks!
In the mid-90s, Mattel brought us Street Sharks (Wikipedia, a toy series that has to be seen to be believed. Think Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles with sharks and you’re not too far off.
Virtual Toy Chest has toy pics, and looking at these again makes me realize that someone out there is going to take this idea and run with it again. After all, how can toys like these be ignored for long?
I completely forgot about Street Sharks. I never owned one, but was jealous of anyone that did.
I had the guy in the football pants that is seen above in the commercial. He was awesome. The lack of leg articulation always bothered me though.
