Stretch Monster by Kenner

This 1977 Sears newspaper ad is a fun exercise in “advertisements that are near-identical to ones we have seen before,” because the ad — featuring the Kenner Stretch Monster toy from a time before the rubber fell apart — is almost identical to this other 1977 Sears ad we saw last year. Placement of the various toys is different, which makes us instantly say: “Hey, something is different here.”
