Comic publisher IDW publishes a monthly e-mail newsletter and, every issue, they offer up a prize to subscribers. You can find the newsletter and info on subscribing here And this month, the prize is a copy of the Countdown Movie Prequel in hardcover.

And as much as the Playmates toys for the new Star Trek movie completely sucked (my review of the Original Spock was posted back in April), the actual movie (now up for pre-order at Amazon) was kinda fun. There were a few details that annoyed me, but overall the movie was entertaining and well-crafted.

Maybe even good enough that I’ll snag a copy on DVD. I’m still not sure, but if Gina wants to buy this one then I won’t argue.
