Targetmaster Transformers at Target in 1987

October 18, 1987. When I was a kid, Target was one of my favorite stores to shop for Transformers toys. They always had a great selection, and it was at a Target in North Dakota where I bought Metroplex in 1986 and had my first — and only! — huge Transformers toy as a kid. Unfortunately, though, by the time that this Quad-City Times newspaper ad for Target was published, I had mostly put an end to buying toys, meaning that I mostly missed out on the Targetmaster and Headmaster designs. I was buying the comic, yes, but it was a few years after this was published before I would again be comfortable with toys. Stupid society and peer pressure . . .
