Thank You, Steve!
After being invited to join the board of directors last year (see Steve’s December 20, 2013 post) I thought I’d gone as far as possible at Steve Jackson Games. Well, in his usual manner of educating me I’ve been given a promotion at the office and am now the company’s Chief Executive Officer.
This is very exciting and humbling for me, and is all the reassurance I need to know that I’ve got Steve’s full support and that I’m doing the right things with the company. Thank you, Steve, for placing so much trust in me. As a kid I absolutely loved playing Car Wars, and it is only through your leadership and mentorship that I’ve reached the level I’m at today.
But now it’s time that I get back to work! There are games to make, and we’re not going to get there if I’m sitting over here being all sentimental.

That’s great news, congratulations! Every time I see one of your company’s games in the store, I impress my kids by saying, “I know someone who helped make this game.” Now I can say I know the CEO! 😉 Happy holidays to you sir!
