That’s Not Star Wars
Oops!!! JCPenny commits a party foul in this 1981 newspaper advertisement listing Star Wars toys at 15% off. The error? Well, as all of you likely noticed immediately, the toys shown in the ad are from Mattel’s Battlestar Galactica line and not Kenner’s Star Wars toys. Oops!!!
It’s no wonder that so many birthdays were thrown for a loop when that aunt you barely spoke too sent a “star war” toy.
@Jay – The funny thing is how many of those knockoff toys are so pricey these days.
