“The GoBots Are Here!”

This 1984 Muppets Magazine advertisement may be one of the earliest ads for Tonka’s GoBots transforming toy series of the eighties. I wish I had my hands on the Tonka marketing materials from 1983 and 1984 so I could trace down the sequence of promotions the company produced for the GoBots and find exact dates, but instead all I can do is keep looking through magazines, comics, newspapers, and other periodicals of the time in search of the ways in which Tonka announced the GoBots to the world.
