The Outer Space Men Are Still Available

As sometimes happens while exploring the web I found myself somewhere unexpected. This time around, while researching something completely unrelated, I happened to stumble across the fact that the Glyos System (Onell Design) compatible Outer Space Men toys are still available at the Four Horsemen website. $40 for four figures that look absolutely gorgeous. I love these painted versions, and the packaging is excellent.

I’m still hoping we’ll get blanks of these designs; I want a ton of those tentacles so that I can use them in customs. And I haven’t seen any word on the next wave of figures but my fingers are crossed that the next time they cut steel for Outer Space Men action figures they pack some new head designs into the plan. One of the cool things Onell Design has been doing with their own releases lately is including an extra head, and that simple addition makes the toys even more fun.

With luck we’ll see this line take the same approach in 2011.

Oh yeah, and the Holiday Edition is also still available. No word on how many are left, but if you wanted some of these special figures then this may be your last chance.

  1. Hmm. I had some Xmas cash left over and was considering picking-up an Assemble Borg figure but now – for another $10 – I can get the Outer Space Men.

    Bah.

  2. What are your thoughts on the line going forward? It was hot like fire for the Alpha wave, slightly less hot with the Beta, now the Holiday editions haven’t sold out.

I’m taking the horsemen at their (implied) word that the Infinity Edition will stay in production.

Feels to me like to many variants to early.

Is the line still hot and I’m just not noticing?

  3. @Seth L – I think the reason it looks that was is that the initial release numbers were very, very low. Scary low. Now that the 4H have a better idea of the size of the Glyos market they’ve started manufacturing enough to cover the fanbase. (All assumptions on my part.)
