The Robert E. Howard Foundation Launches a Four Volume Collection of Boxing Stories
After Pirate Adventures (mentioned here) and Robert E. Howard’s Adventures in Science Fantasy (mentioned here), the Robert E. Howard Foundation is bringing Howard’s series of boxing stories to their library with a new four volume collection. Starting with Fists of Iron — available now for pre-order — this series collects stories, poems, fragments . . . everything the Foundation could find that’s related to Howard’s tales of men in the ring.
My first exposure to Robert E. Howard’s boxing stories was the paperback, The Iron Man*, and I suggest anyone who enjoys Howards fantasy tales take a chance on these boxing stories. Howard was truly an amazing author, and the boxing stories have as much passion and excitement inside them as any of his other works.
