“The Selling of Star Wars” in 1978
Check out Starlog #15 and you’ll find this fabulous article by Richard Meyers in which he touches on the popularity of Star Wars merchandise. Of course, what was offered in 1978 is nothing compared to what you can buy at sites like Amazon today*, but looking back at this article is a hell of a lot of fun since it gives us a peek at how Star Wars was viewed when it was still a new thing.
