The Thing and the Ultimate Weapon!
This 1979 ad for Hostess Fruit Pies features The Thing and shows just how awesome comics of the seventies really were. I’m not sure what year Hostess stopped running this style of ad in comics, but whichever year that was should be marked down as a disastrous one for children of all ages.
