This 1986 Transformable Lunch-Box Robot Patent is Fun!
“A currently popular trend in children’s toys are the so-called “transformers”-toys which can be readily converted into other toys by making minor modifications in the structure of the toys. For example, toy cars are available which can be transformed into toy guns, and toy robots which can be transformed into trucks, and back again.”
And with that particular bit of wisdom out of the way I present to you Patent US4666042 A for a “transformable lunch-box robot.” Awesome! Filed in 1986, the patent lapsed and was never taken to completion. And if this was ever actually manufactured I cannot find any information on it. Anyone out there know more about this fantastic idea for a lunch box?
