Time for California

I had planned to call the office this morning and tell them I would be taking the day off to relax. I had dreams of reading, getting a little writing done, and maybe even spending a little time in the garage. But those were only dreams.

Instead, I’m now rushing out to the airport for an unexpected trip to Burbank. There’s an event for work that someone else was going to handle, but since he got sick it’s my turn. I’m betting this will be a great trip and really fun, but since it’s still unannounced the best I can do is go there, participate, take pics, and keep my big mouth shut.

With any luck I’ll get some time to relax out in California. I guess we’ll see how today goes before I get too excited about the word “relax.”
