Time to Prepare for a Trip to Hong Kong

Last year at the office we ran a Kickstarter project for the Ogre Designer’s Edition, and it’s now reaching the point that I’m about to lock in the dates for my next trip to Hong Kong (and China). This will, of course, include some vacation time in Hong Kong so that I can explore the toy shops . . . and as with earlier trips I’ll try to take photos.

I don’t have the dates worked out, but at the moment it’s looking like the trip will happen in May. So that gives me just a few weeks to hit the web in search of new info on toy stores in Hong Kong; I know that my favorite shop on Sugar Street has moved because of a comment in the video I posted at YouTube so that’s going to need some research. And I’ve heard of some shops that I’ve missed on the Kowloon side so I should try and map those before I leave.

Once I have the dates of the trip nailed down I’ll share. And I will try to do my best to get more pics and videos posted this time around.

  1. Awesome! For a collectibles fan, this is going to be amazing! I know there is a great Transformers store called Action Robo (you can find them on FB), and there are tons of collectibles stores at In’s Point in Mong Kok, HK.

  2. @Paul – This will be my fourth trip to Hong Kong and I’m still getting a good feel for the toy shops. Thanks for the tips on shops; I’d never heard of Action Robo before!
