Top Ten Reviews in 2011

Another year down and another year of reviews here at battlegrip.com. Looking back over the site’s traffic in 2011 I am surprised at what appears as the top ten reviews of the year, with fewer Glyos System (Onell Design) toys on the list than I expected. And not a single resin toy?

Actually, what’s even more surprising is that not a single Hasbro Transformers toy made it into the top ten reviews of the year while an ancient boardgame did make it onto the list. I guess this list just proves that those of you visiting battlegrip.com love variety as much as I do.

Thanks for all of your support in 2011 and I hope to see you back day after day for a new year of toy reviews.

  1. I check the site at least once a day, more likely 3-to-5 times depending on if I’m at work or if Beth is using the PC. It’s one of the few sites I visit that are updated daily, and having a blog of my own that I don’t update as much as I’d like, I can appreciate you coming up with new content for multiple entries each day.

I too have a fascination with bizarre board games, my cousin actually had the Frogger board game by Parker Brothers. I’ve been meaning to get one of those old 80’s video game board games just so I can see who will play it with me LoL. About 4-5 years ago I found a Zaxxon Rub’N’Play Transfer by Colorforms at a cardstore in my town, still in the isle for sale since 1980-something. Actually they had a Robotron 2084 one & a Donkey Kong one. Needless to say I bought all 3 due to their obscurity. Here’s what they look like:

If by some weird happenstance you, me and the Zaxxon game all end up in the same place one day- I will totally play it with you. You can’t beat a board-video game. 😀

  2. @Bah’glenn – I sometimes think I should try and track down all of the video game-based boardgames of the eighties. I haven’t played many of them, but they all look like fun additions for my game collection.

And thanks for coming back to see what’s new each day!
