“Trained to Find The Enemy, No Matter What.”
G.I. Joe fans, take a look at this ad from the June, 2001 issue of ToyFare magazine and then resist the urge to search online for these two 12-inch scale action figures. I did as the ad suggests and checked out gijoe.com . . . hey, why doesn’t the site even touch on these toys? Hmmmm. What we need to have happen is Hasbro step in and construct their site as a virtual archive/museum of everything they have ever created. Imagine how awesome it would be if that official G.I. Joe website showed us this and all of the other ads they’ve ever created for the line.
Hasbro needs to hire an archivist/toy historian and get started on that project.
