Transformers Autobot Cars at Ben Franklin in 1984

September 23, 1984. We go all of the way to Saint George, Utah, and the town’s Daily Spectrum newspaper for this fabulous Transformers advertisement where the then-new and hot Autobot toy cars were priced at only $6.88/each. That’s over a dollar less per toy than we saw in the recent K-Mart ad that was published one day before this Ben Franklin stores advertisement. And hey, when did anyone last walk into a Ben Franklin store? I cannot remember seeing one in ages, though Wikipedia tells us the chain is still in business.
