Here’s a 1985 Circus World advertisement that gives us another data point on the actual cost of Jetfire back in the mid-eighties. It looks like about $25 was the usual cost for the toy for Christmas 1985, putting it slightly out of reach of many kids and explaining why the toy is so expensive these days. Remember, that $24.88 in 1985 dollars is the equivalent of $56.26 today. Man, inflation hurts!
