Transformers Battlechargers only $4.48/each in 1986

May 8, 1986. As a kid, I only owned one of the Transformers Battlechargers toys, meaning that my quick-change transforming toy team was down by a warrior. How I went without ever buying the second Battlecharger is a question I’ll never be able to answer, especially considering that I had a summer job in 1986 and bought many other Transformers toys that year. I guess I just never happened into Shreveport, Louisana, to uncover this ad from The Times newspaper and then make my way to a ToysRUs. Because if I had seen this ad one Saturday morning that summer, you can bet I would have been out buying that missing Battlecharger.
