Transformers Devastator Ad from 1985
December 18, 1985. Check page 47 of the Times Daily newspaper on the Google newspaper archives for that day and you find this absolutely fabulous Devastator advertisement. Unfortunately, the ad isn’t for the Devastator set but only the individual Constructicon toys. Damn. I had thought for sure I had struck gold and found someone advertising that big gift set back in 1985. Oh well. Time I dig deeper in the archives!

Target ran a Devastator giftset ad in their December 22, 1985 circular. I don’t know if it’s in Google’s archive but I know it exists.
