Transformers Legends, a Short Story Collection

While reading G.I. Joe: Tales from the Cobra Wars (review here) one of the first things that popped into my head was the desire for a Transformers short story collection. Something as well-produced and serious as the G.I. Joe anthology.

Well, I missed just such a book almost seven years ago. The Transformers Legends*, edited by David Cian, was published in late 2004 and includes 13 Transformers short stories. “Awesome,” I thought . . . until I realized that the book was gonna cost me.

The book went out of print almost immediately, and now commands at least 4-5 times the original cover price on the secondary market.

The Transformers Wiki page for the book lists the stories, discusses continuity, and includes that pleasant quote above. Still, I decided to chance it and now I wait for Transformers Legends to arrive in the mail.
