December 13, 1987. This newspaper advertisement from the The Akron Beacon Journal shows an illustration of a mis-transformed Powerglide, leaving me to ask: Where did the illustration even come from? Was Hasbro providing line artwork to advertisers where the toys were incorrectly transformed? Weird.
