Transformers Powerdasher Patent Drawing

The Transformers Powerdashers were cheap transforming robot toys that Hasbro offered as mail-order toys back when the Transformers toys were on store shelves in 1984. The toys cost only $3 and two robot points so many kids had them — I had a couple acquired through trades — and as the TFWiki tells us:

There are three types of Powerdasher: a Cybertronic car, a Cybertronic drill, and a Cybertronic jet. All three have a pull-back motor in vehicle mode, allowing them to quickly roll forward across flat surfaces.

Today I’m sharing with all of you the Powerdasher patent forms. The absolute best part about so many patents for toys has to be the drawings, and the Powerdasher patent drawings show us just how cool toy design used to be. (It’s still pretty neat, but it’s sad that we don’t see this style of patent drawing these days.)

  1. Cheap toy yes. Now try finding them with all the chrome intact.

I love to see what Hasbro will do with this concept now

  2. They are not hard to find but hard to find with the chrome intact. I have seen at them at Botcon for the last several years.
