Transformers Teletrann-1 Playset at Big Bad Toy Store

Is this the ultimate unofficial Transformers toy we’ve seen so far this year? Maybe. This $120 Teletraan-1 playset is up for pre-order at Big Bad Toy Store. From the same company that brought us the Autoscout (mentioned here), the only problem I see with this playset is that no measurements are listed.

Without measurements its tough to tell if this thing is worth $120 or not. If it’s large enough for a Generation One Optimus Prime to stand in the display without towering over it then this is well worth $120 (assuming its a quality, durable piece). But if it’s so small that Prime towers over the display then no thanks. I love the idea of this toy, but the company really should give us some measurements.

More pics at the iGear website. One of the shots makes me think that this isn’t quite as big as I wanted it to be.

iGear is also showing a Decepticon base, but this time there are only CG images and not a photo of the actual playset.

  1. Phil, one of the pics over on the blog gives a nice indication of the size of this – with the Classics Autobots.
I did pre-order the set – I wish I came with one more row of floor-tiles, but I think this was an essential set that we needed to get.
When the thing is released, I’ll let you know how it is.

  3. @John K – What size are those Classic Autobots? They look like they’re probably 3-6 inches tall.
