Transformers: The Movie 20th Anniversary Special Edition DVD!
Next year is the 30th anniversary of Transformers: The Movie*, meaning that we should see a new release of the film. I’ve no idea what they’ll use for special features with the release, though, because the 2006 DVD release packed quite a bit into it.
Here’s an ad for that 2006 DVD, taken from IDW’s Transformers Evolutions: Hearts of Steel* series. This particular ad comes from issue four of the series, and looking back I’m now left thinking that the comic didn’t perform all that well. What makes me think that? If it had done great I’m sure we would have seen other variant and bizarre settings for Transformers by now. We haven’t, so that tells me the comic didn’t sell great.
