Transformers Throttlebots $2.88/each in 1987

November 25, 1987. Featuring Goldbug and Wideload (review here), this 1987 newspaper ad from the Newport News, Virginia, Daily Press newspaper shows us the Transformers Throttlebots — with decoys! — on sale at the Phar-Mor stores. I happen to have pulled both of these toys from the shelves recently, but my small collection of decoys are still tucked away . . . I guess it’s time I dig those little guys out.
