Transformers Throttlebots on Sale in 1987

December 10, 1987. The New York, New York Daily News newspaper includes a full-page ad of toys from Somach’s, a store that I have never heard of . . . but you better believe that I am going to be searching out more Somach’s ads in the newspaper archives! After the two recent Transformers Throttlebots newspaper ads (here and here), I felt it important to keep seeking out sales info on these little transforming robot toys. From the looks of this ad, I think we can safely say that $3 was a pretty typical price for the Throttlebots back when they were new.
