Transformers United Pre-Order at TFSource

I missed out on the Transformers Classics and a good part of the Transformers Universe lines. I remember the first time I spotted the Transformers Classics series in a store — I was looking through toy aisles but had dropped toy collecting — and seeing a Jetfire almost pushed me back into toy collecting. (But that didn’t happen until a few years later; I wrote about Black Friday 2008 right here.)

Anyway, none of that matters because what I sat down to write about was the upcoming Transformers United toy series that looks like it’s going to be my chance to score some Classics designs at a semi-reasonable price. This Japanese line is repaints/reissues of Transformers Classics, Transformers Universe, and Transformers Generations toys and they’re up for pre-order now at TFSource.

The Megatron, that classic Optimus Prime, and maybe even the classic Bumblebee should be on my list of snag-its from this series. Rumble, Frenzy, and the other new designs that should see US release aren’t necessary for me from the Transformers United line since I should be able to find these in Walmart or Target. At least I hope so, because it would suck to miss out on these two guys.
