Transforming Expectations Sample Page Spread

After I visit the post office this morning 80% of the Transforming Collections orders will officially be on their way. And then it’s back to packing books; I’m still thinking the final copies will ship this weekend. I just need to buy some more supplies, prepare my hand for signing, and get back to wrapping books in foam and slipping them into envelopes.

Above are two pages from Transforming Expectations, my planned sequel to Transforming Collections. (Yes, I settled on a title for the second book.) Between toys I didn’t include in the first book and the flood of new unofficial Transformers toys we’ve seen this year I can say it won’t be difficult to fill another 80-pages with third party Transformers toys. No hard dates yet for the second book, but I figured everyone would enjoy seeing that something is slowly coming together.

  1. Where do we sign up? I am absolutely in love with the first book.

You mentioned doing a master of the universe book at one point. Any further thoughts on that?

  2. @Marvin Malkowski Jr – Thanks! Once the new Kickstarter project launches I’ll announce here; we’re still a ways off from that.

And yes, MOTU is a book I want to tackle. I just need to find a really good hook for that one. Other books I want to attack include:

    * G.I. Joe Sigma 6 – Including photos of all of the 8-inch toys.
    * Killer Toys – That look at Kenner from the 70s to the 90s.

I have also been thinking of a few other books, but nothing as advanced as the ideas I’ve mentioned before. Time is my greatest enemy.

  3. Got my copies in the mail this morning Phil, turned out great!

Can’t wait to back and maybe contribute to future publications.

  4. @Court – Great! Very happy to hear the books arrived safely . . . and I’ll be sure to post here when I’m ready for submissions for one of the upcoming projects.
