“Transforms automatically from robot to spaceship and back” in 1985

November 9, 1985. At about $5, it is no surprise that the Transformers Jumpstarters were so damned common back in the mid-eighties. I feel like everyone I knew had at least one of the two Jumpstarters, and just how many of us had one of the many Jumpstarter knock-off toys that were sold at every little gift shop in the US during the eighties?
