TSR and Buck Rogers in 1988
I recently posted one ad for TSR’s series of Buck Rogers games and novels (posted here), and this 1988 ad from the back of a comic book is similar to one I posted last year, so you probably think I’ve got nothing to say about the ad. Well, I noticed something a little unexpected when looking at the ad: One of the two novels shown was never published.
TSR published several Buck Rogers products (Amazon.com search*), but when we check the Wikipedia page we find no entry for a novel titled “Crusader.” I suspect that what happened was that the book was released under the “Rebellion 2456” title, but until someone involved in the project steps forward with details we’ll never know for certain exactly what happened here.
