Unique Toys’ Third Party Transformers Octane Revealed
Almost six years ago I posted a review of the official Transformers Universe Tankor (review here). Hasbro’s modern take on the 1986 Octane, their Tankor design* isn’t one of the strongest of the CHUG designs, but it’s a respectable update and I’m keeping mine . . . and hope we get a better Octane some day.
Or, maybe, we’re getting a better Octane much sooner than I was expecting. Unique Toys has posted photos of a new Octane toy design. Named Provider, this Triple-Changer has the robot, plane, and tanker truck modes and looks like a fun update. The jet mode looks great, and we may finally have an Octane where the truck mode doesn’t feel more like an afterthought than a truck.
The toy is up for pre-order now at TFSource.

That looks fantastic! My only gripe would be the wings in robot mode. They look like they are sticking out a mile. I could see him at a gathering and some other bot calls his name and he turns to look taking everyone out around him. Lol. Okay, maybe that’s not gonna happen, but it would be nice to them fold or something.
