Vehicle Voltron Cost How Much?!?!?

I know that Vehicle Voltron isn’t the popular toy of the Voltron transforming robot series, but I’ve always thought that it looked like a pretty fun toy. I never had one, and running across the toy for sale in this old newspaper ad tells me exactly why I didn’t have the toy: $40!!! Woah. I could have almost bought Metroplex for that price.
