Vintage Star Wars Exclusives at Target
I stopped in Target this afternoon and stopped and stared. Man, Hasbro’s Star Wars Vintage Collection* continues to cry to me. You wouldn’t think something as simple as changing the packaging would have such an effect on me, but every single time I see the packages it takes all of my willpower to resist pulling out the credit cards and going crazy.
And now there are new exclusives at Target that aren’t making life any easier. I know that the Tauntaun and Landspeeder aren’t exactly new, but these boxes look sweet. Please tell me that I’m not the only one tempted by these toys just because of the packaging.

No you’re not the only one Phil, I love the retro boxes from the old Star Wars line & have been tempted several times to buy something. I ALMOST bought the K-Mart exclusive retro-boxed B-Wing fighter, but didn’t. That landspeeder and TaunTaun is especially tempting though….
I have the temptation too. Then I remember I would only be buying it for the box, and I look at the pretty pics people like you take, and I am satisfied. Plus, not Glyos.
I know what you mean I was in Target the other day and these are so Awesome!
You pay for that Vintage packaging though; Luke’s Taun Taun costs the same as the Search for Luke Skywalker battle pack also exclusive to Target, also out now. The difference is the Taun Taun is just a Taun Taun while the battle pack has Han in Hoth Gear, a Hoth Rebel Trooper and Han’s Taun Taun. Luke’s has a cracked horn too, but I still don’t know if that and different packaging are worth the same as two other figures…
