I’ve personally never been a huge Voltron fan but I can see how this guy’s a cool-looking toy. I think the reason I never fell in love with the series is that — at the time — I never really watched all that many episodes of the cartoon. And besides, I had Transformers which had far cooler robot and vehicle designs.
Here’s a summary of pretty much every episode:
1. King Zarkon (or his minions) hatch a plan to have a Ro-beast attack some planet (usually Arrus).
2. Voltron is dispatched in short order.
3. The lion mechs prove ineffectual.
4. The team forms Voltron.
5. Voltron gets his ass kicked royally until…
6. Voltron pulls out the Blazing Sword, cuts the Ro-beast in half, and the day is saved.
Got the guy on pre-order from my local toy shop actually.
I have the original metal masterpiece edition, tempted to sel it and get this as the metal version is to heavy for his feet, they fall off easily. Amazing looking robot.
