We’ve Got to Capture Those Dastardly Villains

You know what would get me to fully embrace — and champion — the DC Universe Classics action figure line? A Batmobile scaled perfectly for the line. I could see myself dropping up to $75 for a properly-constructed Batmobile that included both a Batman and a Robin. I’d want the seventies/eighties character designs and the sixties television Batmobile. I’ve already got the Hot Wheels ’66 Batmobile (review here), but having one created for 6-inch scale action figures would make me very, very happy.

But we’re not likely to get any version of the Batmobile for the line. Damn, kids in the seventies had it made, as this old Mego commercial proves. Not only did they get a Batmobile, but they also got a Batcopter, Batcycle, and a Batcave. Hey, Mattel, where’s my DC Universe Classics vehicles?
