Where to Find Glyos System Toys

As an independent toy line the Glyos System action figures and accessories aren’t available just anywhere, and in the interest of helping anyone new to the series track down the toys I thought I’d put together this quick guide to locating the action figures.

Onell Design

Your first step in purchasing Glyos System toys should be the Onell Design webstore. This is the spot to find any currently available toys, and if you’ve never bought any of the toys before you can’t go wrong starting at the original source.

Even though they’re older releases I suggest starting with the “Founders,” the original Glyos System action figures still available at just $4/each. These toys are not as build-friendly as the newer releases — the plastic is harder so it’s tougher to pop the parts apart and build with them — but they’re a great way to get a feel for the toys and they’re not going to last forever.

After the “Founders” your next choice should be the Buildman or the Glyans. The Buildman is a couple of years old while the Glyans were first released earlier this summer. You can’t go wrong with either, but since the Glyans are newer they’re likely to vanish quicker so snag them whenever they appear on the site.

Callgrim

Next up is the Callgrim shop, the place to find the taller Callgrim action figure and the very useful Warp Pack. And at the moment you can still grab the Armodoc vinyl toy, but a recent call makes me think those are gonna vanish very soon.

There are fewer Callgrim drops than there are basic Onell Design releases each year so Callgrim toys can sometimes be tough to come by. And since Callgrim is just a little more expensive — they’re bigger toys — it’s tough to grab more than a few at a time.

Four Horsemen

Go to the Four Horsemen store to grab the Outer Space Men series action figures that are built using the Glyos System joints. These are slightly pricier toys, but the packaging and paint details are fantastic and the figure designs are amazing. And the Four Horsemen, known as Masters of the Universe and DC Universe toy designers, have their own following so where these two groups overlap you get some intense and passionate collectors.

Great stuff, check them out!

October Toys Forum

Your first source for out of print Glyos System toys should always be the October Toys forum. Over at the forums fans trade and sell older releases and sometimes even sell customs. The best way to find out what’s available is to browse through the various posts, but you can also just post a WTB thread and list specific figures you’re looking for.

The community is really friendly, and fans work together to help each other out, so I always suggest that anyone new to the Glyos System who is looking for older toys always check the forums first. I think you’ll be surprised just how helpful everyone can be.

eBay

The final place to look for Glyos System toys, eBay can be a bit of a headache and for reasons I can’t explain every now and then Custom Corps action figures pop up and sell for ridiculous amounts. If you’re unable to find a specific figure anywhere else keep an eye on eBay, but the prices really do get unreasonable at times so watch yourself.

More?

There’s words of more groups offering production Glyos System compatible action figures and accessories in the future, but at the moment these sites are pretty much the places you need to be watching.

Good luck, and hopefully any existing Glyos System fans reading this will weigh in with their own advice for buying the toys. I’m betting there are some sites and secrets that I don’t even know about.
