“WWII hero gives G.I. Joe a real face for toy soldier”
This Associated Press article from February of 1999 gives us a peek at Hasbro’s G.I. Joe action figure and their translation of a real WWII marine into toy. The story of Mitchell Paige and his heroics in the war sounds like someone needs to transform his experiences into a film. After all, the toy’s already out there somewhere so we may as well have the movie to go along with it.
