Wyvern “Getting Bigger. Getting Stronger.”

This is the third advertisement that I’ve shared for the Wyvern collectible card game (find at Amazon.com*) and it is interesting how the CCG market of 1995 and 1996 ended up working out. There were so many collectible card games published in 1995 that the market collapsed, and we’ve never seen as many CCGs on the market at once as we did twenty years ago. Wyvern was big money at the time, so buying up sealed boosters for pennies on the dollar today feels a little odd. I’m glad I never put energy into the CCG speculation market; how many people are sitting on cases of these cards that “will be worth a lot” one day?
