X-Men Minimates Thinks it’s the 90s Again
I’ve got a serious problem when it comes to Minimates toys. I love the look and feel of the little guys, but after my terrible experience with the Iron Man 2 Minimates Air Assault Drone (review here) I’m a little gun shy about buying any more of them. In total I think I have fewer than ten Minimates figures, and only one is pure junk, so I shouldn’t be worried about other toys in the series. But I am.
Which makes this Marvel Minimates 1990s X-Men Box SDCC 2010 Exclusive* tough. On the one hand I could enjoy these, but on the other hand I’m worried they’ll come out of the box in pieces. That’s not fair to the line, but it’s what I’m thinking every time I look at Minimates these days.
Any suggestions on what to do about my negative impression of the line? I feel like I should just shutup and buy whichever Minimates set interests me. After all, one bad experience shouldn’t kill an entire toy line for me. Right?
“Remember the 1990s in X-Men? Or at least, the cartoon? We do. We watched it all the time. Jubilee had a bright yellow jacket. Bishop came from the future to save the past. And Wolverine? Well, Wolverine’s Wolverine.”
“To celebrate this awesome season of toys, we offer you the Marvel Minimates 1990s X-Men Box SDCC 2010 Exclusive. Four figures. One great price. Trust us.. you’re going to want these. After all, Jubilee is here! “
