Zoids Coloring Contest in 1984
Regardless of how many times the toymakers try, the Zoids series (find at Amazon.com*) simply doesn’t gain traction here in the US. The designs are cool and all, but something about Zoids prevents these robotic dinos from securing a large enough US fanbase to survive.
And it appears that in other parts of the world the toymakers have been trying to make Zoids a success for decades. This 1984 coloring contest comes from an Australian newspaper, and from what I can tell the Zoids line has never been all that successful there, either. Poor, poor Zoids toys. You guys just can’t find a reliable home.

Zoids in 84 in Oz? Ha! The first time I remember coming across Zoids was somewhere between 01-03, when they were airing on Channel 10. The mecha designs were great, but the cartoon itself just wasn’t great.
