Zorcom Spaceship from 1984
So flipping through Crystar #6 from March of 1984 revealed this full-page ad for the Zorcom Spaceship, a cardboard playset for kids that looks like it would have been a blast when I was four or five. Cardboard playsets like these still exist today — at Nuremberg I saw a few booths dedicated solely to large cardboard box/playset designs — but I promise you nothing of this size is available for just $12.95 + $3.00 shipping. Shipping alone is probably at least $15 for something of this size today!

This thing looks incredibly cool. Ironically I would probably appreciate it much more now than I would have as a kid haha!
Great, now I want one of my own! Phil, can you link to some of the newer playsets you saw in Nuremberg?
